Bob White Wins Gold

Bob White of Norman, OK won gold in the 80-84 age group, 85Kg weight class at the USA National Weightlifting Championships on April 4, 2014 in Shreveport, LA.

By winning Gold Bob qualified for the upcoming World Championships Event.

Metro Finds Gold in T-Town

The Team Metro Weightlifting Club of Norman recently entered eight lifters in the T-Town Open Weightlifting Championships in Tulsa, Ok. Patrick Lowe, Jon May, Lauren Tillery, Caden Grissom, Trevor Nimmo, Caylin Nimmo & Currin Harp each won a gold medal & Kennan Spurgin won a silver metal. Patrick Lowe was awarded the outstanding
lifter award.

Team Metro Goes 6 for 6 in Kansas

Team Metro Weightlifting of Norman entered six lifters in the Kansas State Weightlifting Championships in Olathe, Kansas. All six lifters won medals. Jon Mance & Michelle Willis qualified for the 2014 USA National University Championships.

Team Metro Goes 10 for 10

The Team Metro Weightlifting Club of Norman recently entered ten lifters in the Arkansas State Weightlifting Championships in Little Rock, AK. All ten lifters won gold metals.

The past record for the State of Oklahoma was seven lifters & seven gold metals.

The record was set by the Team Metro Weightlifting Club in 2010. Ten for ten sets a new record.
